 I have a part. Can you make me another one just like it? We do charge to reverse engineer to create the Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) 3D model. We will not reverse engineer a part that the customer can not provide the rights or patent. I have the material and want you to use it instead of ordering? As a rule, we do not use customer's materials. Exceptions are if it is a cast part or we are unable to acquire it from our many vendors. There are a number of reasons we do not use customer's materials. Customer's often do not have certifications for the material. This is required in rare circumstances where problems during the machining process arise. Customer's don't know what size we need for workholding. Customer's are unable to tell us what specific alloy of material they have supplied us. This is critical for us to calculate our speeds and feeds in the CNC machining program. Parts are Intellectual Property (IP) and require a Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA). We have NDAs with a number of our customers and upon our internal review will enter such agreements. Do you do repairs? We typically do not do repairs. However, If the part is clean (no dirt, grease, grime) and will fit in our machines with minimal setup. This is on a case by case basis. How long does it take to get my parts? Our typical turn around time is 2 weeks. If a shorter turnaround is required and our scheduling permits it we will include an expedite fee to the project.
